This change adds a new paragraph providing
information and clarity in order to emphasize the
importance of incorporating procedures—for the
avoidance of obstacles marked with light

goggles (NVG) operations—into manuals and/or
standard operating procedures (SOP).

5. INSTRUMENT APPROACH PRO-
CEDURE (IAP) CHARTS
FAA Order 8260.46 is updated to reflect adding
minimum safe altitudes (MSAs) to graphic depar-
tures. This AIM change reflects the new terminal
instrument procedures (TERPS) guidance.

2. FAA WEATHER SERVICES
This change adds a new table for SPECI issuance
including snow

related intensity changes so flight
crews can accurately assess holdover time limita-
tions. TBL 7

2. REPORTING RADIO/RADAR
ALTIMETER ANOMALIES
This change adds a new paragraph to address the issue
of radio frequency interference (RFI) in the C

band
that could cause erroneous radio altimeter values and
impact dependent system functions due to the
deployment of 5G antennas.

Editorial changes include the replacement of filing
code M2 for M3 in paragraph 5
